CONSIGNMENT GUIDELINES

First, what is a consignment store?
A consignment store sells your things for you and shares the profit. Cat Mountain Emporium covers all expenses of the sale and you receive 50% of the final selling price.

Why use Cat Mountain Emporium?
Placing an ad in the newspaper or having a garage sale can be a hassle, and end up being a lot of work for you. With Cat Mountain Emporium you do not have strangers in your living room or end up giving away your treasures for pennies. We are open six days a week, so your items receive maximum exposure. It makes sense to use our easy and effective method of recycling your unwanted items.

What is accepted?
All items must be clean and in good repair. Furniture must be clean and structurally sound.

We accept the following:
• patio and garden items • antiques • area rugs • collectables • art • jewelry • Native American Art • western wear accessories (boots, western hats and belts) • vintage kitchen items • linens • furniture • lamps • kitchenware • china and glassware • Western decor items • and more...

If you are unsure whether or not your items fit into our range of acceptable items, feel free to call us and ask.

How am I paid?
Once an item is sold, you are entitled to payment, and you can pick up a check for your accumulated balance at any time.

How are prices set?
We price at fair resale market value. Like you, we want to get the most that we can for your items. You may bring information, such as the original cost and age, or documentation on what similar items have sold for on Ebay, for example, and we will use our expertise on current market prices to price your items.

What is the return policy?
Items are sold "as is."  To protect our consignors, we do not accept returns. It is the responsibility of the buyer to inspect their items carefully.

How do I place items on consignment?
We accept items for consignment any day that we are open. If time allows, we will price your items when you bring them in. If we are too busy, or need further information in order to price your items correctly, you may leave your items here. Your goods will be labeled with your consignor number and will be priced and entered into inventory as soon as possible. Once that is done, you may pick up a complete list of your items with the retail prices.
