Spencer’s Observatory has a retractable roof that exposes a phenomenal panoramic view of the exceptionally dark skies that hover over this particular area of the Tucson Mountains. The observatory houses a 10" Meade LX200 SCG telescope, a Celestron 14" SCT telescope on a GoTo Mount, as well as a Piggy Back 4" Stellar View Refractor.

 Stay For the Night

  • Spencer's Observatory is located at Cat Mountain Lodge bed & breakfast, just steps away from the cozy courtyard. The innkeeper is availalbe to arrange visitor activities and Star Tour reservations. Parking is available at Cat Mountain Lodge.
